Guest Policies

At The Renaissance Day Spa, we are committed to providing a relaxing and seamless experience for all of our guests. To ensure the comfort and enjoyment of everyone who visits, we kindly ask that you take a moment to familiarize yourself with our guest policies. These guidelines are designed to maintain a peaceful environment, uphold safety standards, and help us deliver exceptional service. Whether you’re booking a treatment, arriving for your appointment, or planning a group visit, our policies are here to help make your experience stress-free and enjoyable.

 

Spa Reservation

  • Schedule your appointment as far in advance as possible to secure your preferred time.
  • A credit card is required to guarantee all reservations.
  • All reservations are subject to availability on a first come, first serve basis.
  • All services and prices are subject to change without notice.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
  • Credit cards are required for all appointments, including those using gift certificates or series.
  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
  • While we are happy to note provider preferences whenever possible, appointments are scheduled with The Renaissance Day Spa Alternative Wellness rather than a specific provider. In the event of scheduling changes, provider availability, or staffing transitions, services may be performed by another qualified member of our team.

Spa Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • All appointments are considered confirmed reservations at the time of scheduling.
  • A courtesy reminder call or text will be sent prior to your appointment.
  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule single services.
  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for spa packages, couples services, group reservations, or appointments totaling more than 2 hours.
  • Appointments canceled, rescheduled, missed, or changed without the required notice are subject to charges up to 100% of the scheduled service value.
  • Clients who fail to provide proper notice may also be required to prepay or place a deposit for future reservations.
  • Spa Parties or groups are subject to separate cancellation terms of agreement.

Spa Arrivals

  • Please arrive 15 minutes early for your scheduled appointment.
  • New guests should allow 30 minutes to complete their guest profile.
  • Spa robes, slippers, lockers, and beverages are provided for your comfort.
  • Delayed arrivals may result in reduced treatment time; full service price will still be charged.
  • Please notify our team of any special physical or medical conditions prior to your services (pregnancy, high blood pressure, diabetes, recent surgeries, product sensitivities, or aggressive medications).
  • We recommend leaving valuable items at home. The Renaissance is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Spa Requirements

  • Guests aged 13+ are welcome for nail and facial services.
  • Massage services are designed for guests aged 16+.
  • All guests under 18 require a parental release before services can be rendered.
  • Only guests receiving services may accompany you to the spa.
  • We are unable to provide services to guests accompanied by children.

Spa Payments, Gift Certificates & Series

  • Accepted payments: Cash, major credit cards, Renaissance Day Spa Gift Certificates, and Series/Packs.
  • Gift Certificates and Prepays expire one year after purchase date.
  • Gift Certificates hold a specific dollar value and may be used toward products and services.
  • The gift certificate must be present at time of use; available balance will be applied to the transaction.
  • Gift Certificates and Prepays are non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash.
  • Gift Certificates cannot be used toward gratuities.
  • Series/Packs expire one year after purchase and are non-refundable, non-shareable, and non-transferrable.
  • Series may be converted to spa credit, subject to loss of any applied discounts.

Merchandise Returns

  • We do not accept returns on any spa retail or merchandise.
  • All sales are final.
  • *A surcharge fee of 3% will be added to all credit card transactions. This charge does not apply when paying by cash or debit card.

Service Animal Policy

  • Service Animals as defined by the ADA are welcome throughout the spa.
  • Qualifying Service Animals include dogs or miniature horses individually trained to perform tasks related to a disability.
  • Emotional support animals and pets are not permitted, in accordance with North Carolina cosmetology and public health regulations.
